So remove all workout clothing, including shoes, immediately post-workout. Hang any workout clothing to air dry, remove insoles from shoes, stuff the shoes with the paper if they are moist, and then jump in the shower. You may also keep a small box of baby powder available to sprinkle in shoes instantly post-workout. It might be attractive to remain in your athletic shoes or to keep them on post-race, but avoid that temptation. Removing your shoes and trading both socks an shoes for dry things is much better for both your clothing and your body.
